Subfloor and chair rails

How much of a PIA is putting the sheets of plywood in and doing it around chair rails? How did you do it? I know the are a few different ways to do this, but i want to keep my plywood at 7'9" or there about.

Cut the sheets about 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch shorter than the width of the inside from wall to wall. When installing, put one side on the floor and the other on the opposite walld chair rail ... then flex the plywood in the middle and it will plop right down. It is a bit scary the first time.
