Its a high headroom Thomas.

Thomas aren't a good candidate for a roof raise anyhow.

With Thomas buses you can tell if its high headroom or not really easy.
Here's mine, note how the roof goes up after the entryway/driver area.

Here's a low headroom Thomas-

Note how the roof line DIPS behind the driver area. The height of the widows is another visual indicator of headroom.
Even for short folks low headroom buses are best avoided.

Hey Iron- Horse...
where in Maryland are you located? I lived in Charles County for a long time...still have some contacts there...bought my current bus from a guy near Hughesville.

Tallest and lowest ceiling height

Hello! I have been looking at getting a Thomas C2! The only real question I need answered has to do with the interior ceiling height.
I believe the tallest point is 77 inches. So is it 77 inches in the middle or at the taper.
Thank you!

Ceiling heights are generally measured at the centerline of the bus. That's why most conversions keep the main walkway down the middle. DeMac has a very tall bus and has a nice side-hall floorplan.

Not sure about Thomas C2s.

We have an IC RE300.

79" from below the center of the rib to the steel floor. 80.5" to the roof skin.

When measured from two feet off center, about 6'4".

These center four ceiling joists are at 16"OC (on center), so in the photo, my tape is 2 foot from the middle of the bus. I'm actually measuring the center of the hallway which is 6'3"+ below this 2x3 fur strip. (Note: on my tiptoes)

There are more recent photos in my ↖Registry file and my Albulms:
Skoolie.net/DeMac/Albums I always use the photo descriptions to record of measurements & other pertinent details which I may need to re-reference

Our IC has a tall driver window (higher than the windshield), so I thought it was a low roof when viewing the auction photos.

But the big forehead gives it away.

My research phase showed the Thomas c2 with 78” and blue bird vision with 77”. Also some buses have added hieght when they are used for coach purposes which seemed to be an option in the vision often. I bought a c2 because of its engine combination and did not do a roof raise. I’m 5’10 and should have 1” clearance in the center of the bus
