Too much rust?

We're considering buying this bluebird blood bus for $8000. It is gutted and already has insulation done and most of the wood done. Very low miles and no mechanical issues. Our only concern in the rust here, it seems minimal but we're not experts, what do you think?? Also there's some sort of foam stuff sprayed unneath the bus as pictured in the last photo

Based on the rust pictures only, $8k is real high price.
This I base on the pics only, since you failed to let us all know the specific details of the bus itself.

You ask a general question- I give a general answer!

I wonder what's hidden by the foam stuff.
Also, looks like the bottom step is rusted through, could be similar spots that aren't visible.
On my bus, the worse areas was around the rear wheel wells and the vertical left side of the steps. (left as you enter the bus)

why is the seller abandoning this project?

I'd say you could get a better bus for less money...that's my 2 cents

That looks like pretty bad rust, and this is coming from a dude whose bus looked like this. I mean, even the roof is rusted and that's pretty rare in a school bus. There's an excellent chance the seller did all the interior work without properly gutting the bus and repairing all the rust damage - and that's all just sitting there underneath waiting to fall apart on you.

Hard, hard pass on this bus.
