Anyone else like Boxcar Willie?

We've been going to a hunting camp owned by friends up near Emporium PA every year that I can remember (going back decades). The only electronic entertainment is an 8-track/record player combo. The only working 8-tracks are Boxcar Willie's truck-driving favorites, a best of Johnnie Cash compilation and Dark Side of the Moon.

No complaints here.

The only thing I would add would be any led Zeppelin tape... I had every Zeppelin 8track there was in my first car.

I found the trucks in the video still interesting because of the paint jobs. That looks like Monfort of Colorado colors, but a different paint scheme. I did some internet digging and found that Steinbecker Bros had some involvement with Monfort, but can't find any pictures of what their trucks looked like. I also found some old pictures of trucks with that same paint job sitting on a lot new in Commerce City, CO while Monfort was based out of Greeley, CO not far away.

Anybody know anything that might shine some light on that for me?

No help from me, sorry... But I loved the trucks in the vid. Remind me of the trucks my dad drove when I was a kid.
You may appreciate these vids-

I just watched the first one. A couple of those companies I didn't even realize weren't around anymore. Overnite, USF, Watkins...

I'm definitely gonna watch those other two after I get done cutting rivets out of the bus tonight. Feels good to do some work on it. I haven't had a chance to get anything done in it for a while.

EastcoastCB, "I've been every where" was written in Australia, it has some very interesting names in that version.

Yeah, truckin culture is big out there.
Didn't realize that's where the song originated, cool to know!

Last two videos had a lot of Mack R and F models. And one DM tractor, kind of a rare bird. Cool old B model, too.

Kinda funny, with all the triples and Rocky Mountain doubles in the first video I kept watching for a drom box and it didn't pop up until the last truck in the last video. Haha

Short for dromedary box. Dromedary like a camel. It's a long wheelbase truck with a cargo box behind the cab, and then a fifth wheel behind that. Not something you see anymore, for the most part, and never really saw them outside of the west coast.

I've always had a thing for old heavy haul trucks.

Things like Autocar Prime Movers and Mack DM800s.

Absolute beasts, and just look tough as hell.

Ah yes, back in the day when truckers actually made real money. Unlike today where truckers barely make enough to survive, and even then it's real iffy......

Sadly all of our jobs are going that route.
