My favorites are the old '50s-'70s Autocar Cabovers. Beautiful examples of heavy equipment.

So do I, I'm sure. I've got 2 6'x6' IKEA shelves full of vinyl, starting in 1965 w/ Peter Paul and Mary and going down hill from there. Must be 5000 of 'em. I am soooo looking forward to moving those when I retire! Good reason to buy a bus.

I still dig the look of the old CabOver rigs.. they are all but gone in the USA. thoiugh seems overseas they are everywhere.. even new ones..
havent quite understood how that long snout helps out in driving... the idea of a shorter wheelbase tractor seems it makes getting a trailer maneuvered easier...
I guess the drivers dont like all their stuff flying around when opening the "hood"...

Have you ever climbed in and out of a cabover?
That's the biggest reason drivers don't like them.
