Truckin Songs
I like trucker songs. Grew up with a dad who was gone all the time trucking, and mom who ran a brokerage/logistics company for lots of freight carriers.
Last time I tried to talk trucker tunes on here it didn't go so well.
I know lots of yall have to LOVE trucking songs as much as me!
What are some of your favorites?
When I was bringing back my RYO bus from KY I was LONGING for some tunes! Ended up singing a few of em to myself just to pass the time.
Dave Dudley was always one of my favorites, what a great voice!
Six Days on The Road is one of my all time favorites-

Last time Roxy was visiting family in Scotland, she was BLOWN AWAY when she heard Convoy playing in a Tesco (their version of Walmart) at midnight on a tuesday. Said it instantly made her feel like she was back here with me!
Convoy is such a classic! I wanna get the chrome "rubber duck" hood ornament for my shorty, but I'm torn between that and the naked girl ornament.

Then, there is, of course, the classic:

Now I'm going to have to dig out my old cassette tapes. I have a bunch of old truck tapes. I used to buy the really cheap tapes in truck stops that had old tunes on them. I ended up with some really obscure stuff.
One of my favorites is "This damn 18 wheeler won't fit down this street" by an obscure band from Ft Wayne, IN . Russ McDaniel & The Sleeper Band, I think they only recorded one album. Russ was a truck driver and wrote most of the songs, not much of a singer but if you are/were a truck driver you can relate. Here's a link to the album. https://www.cdbaby.com/cd/rmcdanielsb
My favorite CW McCall one is "Wolf Creek Pass"
