WHAT is this guys problem

You guys apparently know this guy as I think I have seen references to him (Arkie?). I have posted a couple of times on the Yahoo skoolie group. I no longer even read it since the moderator apparently needs meds and does not take them. I do not like being spoken to like that and I certainly am not going to read a message with that tone. I had posted a question about an Aladdin Lamp. Arkansacajun replied to my message and invited me to post the question on his site where he would anser it "correctly" because "the people at skoolie.net are full of bull". My response was a polite No sinnce he had already called me an idiot. so... What did you guys do to this... person????

My response:
"Excuse me... But I don't think I would want to bother you with any questions since you have already called me an idiot on your yahoo skoolie forum.
lornaschinske "

His response:
"oh.... then you are in the correct group. the IDIOTS group. keep asking questions of CROOKS and PHONIES most of whom have never even ridden in a skoolie but are quick to give advice. hope you enjoy your piece of **** skoolie. because that's what you'll have when they are finished with you. IDIOT!"

So what did you guys do this this... person? Other than disagree with him

He's an insane, incorrectly medicated nut. I have no idea what anyone did to him, but the cheese slid off his cracker long ago.

Mmm Imron... I actually considered using Imron for my bus. But then I found a cheaper polyurethane that claims to be harder and more durable than Imron. Guess I better get a good respirator for spraying that stuff on. But I will say, Imron leaves a really nice finish when it is done. I just hope this other brand is as good as Imron.

Doesn't yahoo have the ability to remove group moderators or others that are that offense?

Surely, if they do, someone has turned this guy in. I didn't know that yahoo could do that. He had a hissy fit because I dared to say that I didn't think removing the windows and replacing them with metal panels would mess with the integrity of the bus and that the windows are not part of the structural integrity. Maybe I need to look at some of the info on my yahoo sites????

Re: WHAT is this guys problem

Nobody did anything to Arky, he was banned most of the original members of this board, including me because they didn't agree with him or were talking to each other outside of Yahoo. So I put this board up so we had a place to help each other out and try to get a little more organization of things.

BTW - Arky is a member of this website and posts with at least one username or "whodat"

Those are solar panels on the side that tilt up to receive sun. I don't know what the thing on the front is but it is there in most of the pictures I have seen of the bus.

I think I've run into him on this forum under another name other than "whodat".... He seems to have a low opinion of women.

OMG! And I complained to Yahoo about him! Any one who constantly refers to himself in the third person simply because they have another username has problems.

Re: WHAT is this guys problem

You mean people still go to that Yahoo group? I thought he ran everyone off. I guess there are always newbies around that don't know any better, give them enough time and Arkie will ban them too... I got banned over there because I joined this group here... imagine that!!

Save your bandwidth, it's not worth your trouble going over there just to have your intelligence insulted by someone that hasn't got a clue...

Re: WHAT is this guys problem

It seems fitting that Arkie has a Yahoo Group, as it seems that he is quite the yahoo himself. Mental illness is a hell of a thing!

(Oops, looks like I would be banned if I actually fell for his crap and joined the yahoo's)

Re: WHAT is this guys problem

How do people even find the yahoo site? It never comes up in my searches just to see if some new one comes up. Actually it does but at the bottom of the list.

Wonder if i could go undercover on that other site....
Nah not worth my effort.

That looks like an air dam on the front. An air dam channels air more effiently and your bus gets less drag from underneath. They have to be pretty close to the pavement and they are supposed to improve fuel mileage by a mile or two per gallon.

I tried searching his name to see if I could find the site that way. All I got was his yahoo profile. He is either the biggest troll on the internet or really that...

...interesting.

Re: WHAT is this guys problem

I joined that site a while back to check out some of the projects people are working on. just left the group because of several reasons.
1. I find it extremely difficult to read posts. Have to click on everyone's response to read what they commented on. not like here where you click on the thread and its all there ready to be read.
2. Got tired of reading ALL THE COMMENTS MADE BY ARKIE TYPED IN CAPS LIKE HE IS YELLING AT THE PERSON FOR ASKING A "DUMB" QUESTION.
3. He feels the need to comment and correct everyone's post to his liking.
4. To controlling like a bad EX.
5. he comments just about as much as Smitty does on here, but the big difference is Smitty's posts on here are actually useful, helpful, complementary, or just plan ole hilariously funny. (Keep up the good work Smitty)
6. mental
7. his head is to swollen and thinks his site is the best site in the world and if you disagree or talk about another group as having some good info he will ban you.
8. I'm sure the list could go on.

List of good things about his site
1. I would say the information on peoples projects but most are on this site now.

Now I wouldn't be fair if I didn't make comments about this site.
The Bad.
1. I spend way to much time on here. its like an addiction. (could be a good thing too)
2. The very occasional quarrel between members, but they usually make up quickly. no biggie

The Good
1. the community on here is excellent!
2. large wealth of knowledge!
3. People's posts don't get altered, or deleted unless for valid reasons.
4. I don't know of anyone to have been banned from here.
5. People are friendly and helpful
6. even though I don't own a Skoolie yet, I still feel welcomed and that my opinions or comments are welcome too.
