Whats behind the Driver Seat?

Hello All,
I have a 1993 Amtran FE school bus I am converting. I cant figure out what the black box behind the driver seat is. Can anyone give me some insight?
Thanks,
Kyle

Hello and welcome.

Most likely that box held the vcr that records the interior of the bus. Some people seem to get a complete video system while others only get bits and pieces.

Is it locked? Most seem to be.

It's called "Silent Witness." I had the complete system, right down to the overhead camera. It's a VHS VCR that kept an eye on those little monsters behind the driver and it started rolling when the engine was started.

You have hydraulic brakes in your '96 BB TC2000?

My first guess would be a heater or the vcr box.

Depends on the season of course. Only use winter air during the winter.
