When not working on the Skoolie...

Tango had commented on my Brown Crown thread about the Astros plate on the back of the bus since I am in California. Have followed the team almost since their inception. The move into the Astrodome was a one-of-a-kind event...and the building was (and still is) a magnificent piece of engineering for its time.

One of the things I like to do besides working on my bus is building models out of balsa wood as a hobby. Don't do too much of that lately because of the bus, but did build this model of the Dome back in the early 70's.

So, I thought I would post the pics (Hope that's ok), and if the rest of you have other things to add on hobbies you like, please feel free.

Totally agree, very cool model...

I have a lot of hobbies, play guitar and bass, lots of cooking, my big crazy offroad truck... I have kids, so we build a lot of things for school projects, alcohol burning penny stoves was a really fun one... We built a mouse trap car a few weeks ago and did the egg drop last week... Catapult out of a plastic spoon, potato gun for when we're camping...
