After years of full-time travel, our networking resulted in a property-sitting gig on a farm.

We share the acreage with a couple-three dozen other workkampers in RecreationVehicles and various home-built ExpeditionVehicles.

If I needed a space, I think I would ask at places with space -- farm, warehouse, airport, construction site.
Feed stores, cattle yard.

I think I would eat a few meals at an old-farts cafe, the places everybody keeps track of their neighbors because neighbors do that for neighbors.
In my experience operating a restaurant business for ten years, cooks and waitresses are innately community-oriented... and know everything about everybody.
