Where to Buy?

Hi there. This may seem very simple but I feel like I’ve exhausted the resources I know to look for a bus that fits my criteria. Craigslist, Facebook marketplace, govplanet, and public surplus are all places that I know to look. What are some other good sites? Also… to people who have contacted school districts directly, who exactly do you call and ask to speak to about buses going up for sale? Thanks in advance… I know my bus is out there somewhere!

I found 5 buses on govdeals.com that I wound up bidding on over the course of a year. I finally won one, wired them $6k and the seller then backed out. I had a "paid in full" document with a VIN but govdeals sided with the seller. It took two weeks to get my money back. I still consider them a good resource and have bought other items from them with no issues.
My bus is not a skoolie it's an MPV (multi purpose vehicle) and all the ones I bid on were either bookmobiles, Red Cross or something similar

Govdeals. Bear in mind its a pass-thru auction, and offers nothing more than a platform for money exchange. I've noticed some sellers are fed up with it as the bidders sometimes don't pay.

Columbia County GA has gone back to a live auction for county surplus, for example. So you'd want to check your local auction companies for municipal auctions. Hopefully these irl auctions chill bidding a bit.

Give AAA Bus a shot. They are located in AZ ( Glendale/Phoenix area ) and they are good folks. Plus you want a bus from a desert climate so the issue of rust is non-existent. Also, many of them have AC.

I got my rust-free 2004 35 foot dog nosed Thomas built bus in Georgia. The seller should have more of those. If you or anyone else reading this is interested, I can provide the seller's contact info.
