Pretty darn excited to get a new tool and learn how to use the Air punch and chisel! It’s always fun to get a new tool that extends my project knowledge and tool base. This forum really is invaluable and I want to thank all those who post resources so we can learn as we go. We want to save our ceiling panels...like that old bluebird feel, the color, the ability to use magnets on them, and the additional height we save because they’re thin. We found a youtube someone posted that showed us how to shape the chisel and remove the rivets pretty darn easily. https://youtu.be/7NEs9i8Bmoo. I don’t have the super nice Grinder he has in his video, so, I just used my hand grinder with a cutting disk and approximated it. A little less clean on the removal,, but, still totally salvageable! All rivets off today. |
