Yes, Peachy Dreams was not what she seemed! Outside of Hot Springs Texas, her tranny temp soared to the red. We were lucky this little town was here in the middle of west Texas. This was the 3rd shop we had to visit to find someone who could work on her right away. We were trying to get Todd back home to work. The guy got under her, found a leak in the seal between the tranny and drivetrain, wiped off the fluid and, low and behold, told us our Allison 2000 wasn’t really a 2000, like we thought:(((, was an AT545!!!:((((( So, were told we could drive her back to Georgia (1500 miles) and get our money or, well.....nothing. Sucked! Buyer beware, double check your engine, your tranny, everything. We sisn’t know that buses can get mixed up on lots, schools can post bus ads wrong, and persons selling you a bus can skip their due diligence in knowing what they’re selling. Learn from us! We’re determined to make lemonade of these lemons and think she still is a good buy. Has air everything, a good 3126, still an Alison tranny, still pretty rust free, and bonus!...when the dust settled and we talked to the original school mechanic told us she had a rebuild engine with approx 120,000 on it, and, a tranny rebuild with 70,000 on it. We’re really happy about that:))
