Houston folk: can you recommend a heavy truck mechanic?

Hello to all you Houston area people (Tango, I'm looking at you!). I was wondering if any of you know of reputable mechanics in the area. Even better, mechanics on the north end of town. I'm looking to have the front kingpins done and get an alignment. I should have done it back home where I know the guys to take it to, but I wanted to get out of the snow pronto :)

I called around to a couple places. One would do the job for $1700; another for $950 + parts, but she couldn't seem to get me a price for the parts. Hmm... Maybe I'll just keep driving until A) I get back home, or B) the wheel falls off (which should make it easier to remove the kingpin anyway) ☺

I have always used Uvalde Brake and Muffler. I am 43, and I cannot remember a time when they were not in business. They have an outdoor lift for tall vehicles. It is on the east side of town.
