any interest in a meeting?

maybe a rally at dove valley?
somewhere pretty in the mountains?

im way out east on the flat plains, but id be happy to host. North Sterling state park is just around the corner from me.

lets do something!

EastCoastCB 06-23-2015 11:14 PM

Maybe my 466 and 643 will make it out there after all?

turf 06-23-2015 11:50 PM

next time i'm gonna tow my atv too.

traffic was the the only issue, there were temporary jams that heated the tranny way up. the tranny slipped a couple of times under the load, but groaned and kept going. the picture is the next day, monday morning 8 am, return trip, no traffic, no problem.

I'm down! We are in Fort Collins! We're going to be full timing in like, 17 days!

Might have to do this in the off-season ...unless we can plan for next year? I know the RV parks around here are PACKED! Anywhere else in CO a good place to park? Not 'native' to here so I am not sure.

Wow, congrats! We're still like a year or so away from that lofty goal.

Might just have to be a Walmart parking lot, lol! Or maybe red rocks when nothing is going on, that would be a great photo.

EastCoastCB 07-15-2015 09:03 AM

How about everyone from Co coming to Fl for a meetup? :)

Destroymix 07-15-2015 09:41 PM

Never been to Florida!

YEAH!!!! WOW!!!!! We're about five years out if we can keep steady jobs... Once my son graduates high school hopefully he'll find a steady job. We have some contacts, so we're hoping he'll be able to work and go to school at the same time with some assistance from us.... Long story there........

I am about a week from heading out of Tampa Floodia (1 foot of water making it hard to work under the bus). My son lives in Fort Collins and he isn't sharp enough to find me a place to park for a couple days. Was looking at a place in the Poudre Canyon but whew they like $$. Looks like you have been there for a while now, any suggestions appreciated ? :Thanx:

The tiny house jamboree is this weekend in Colorado Springs. Im planning on going!

Other than that, what we need is a farm!

Oh boy, it's hard to find a spot here in Fort Collins! Most of the RV parks were booked when I called around, before we found this spot in a lady's backyard. The KOA's aren't cheap, but they might be your best bet. I wish I owned a chunk of land to accommodate you!! Are you self sustaining? How big is your rig?

EastCoastCB 08-04-2015 10:30 AM

I'm thinking of just buying cheap property in Park County for occasional use.

Mschoonmaker 08-04-2015 10:51 AM

I am going to look for a small property out in the woods with power and water (hopefully) maybe up towards Wyoming. I have a 40' can live off propane but would rather have power instead of the generator noise. Ill find something like a barn or old hippie house when I get there, might have to do the walmart thing for a while. My ex has lived there for 30 years so she "might" point me in the right direction. I am in no hurry so I wont be rollin' in for a couple 2-3 weeks so if you see something I would appreciate a heads up. There is another guy from Florida moving to Ft Collins too, maybe we should start a "S Cool ie Camp" lol.

I know of a place near Gunnison on Taylor Lake Reservoir. There's a few paid campgrounds there with hookups, without hookups, and there's fantastic free boondocking just down the road from the campground. It's about 9000' I think, surrounded by the Collegiate peaks and has a creek running by the sites, and spectacular views of the reservoir from some of the campgrounds. You can access it either by a curvy road the long way around from Buena Vista, or take an 18 mile potholey dirt road over the continental divide on top of Cottonwood Pass at 12,000'. It would hold tons of Skoolies!

onenationundergoat 08-04-2015 11:20 AM

Oh, and we drove up the pass with a 4-cylinder Honda Element towing a 1200 lb. popup camper. So a bus should make it.
