Thanks.
I think it we'll do the name in a red or burgundy color to stand out from the tiffany blue.

Thanks!
Now if I could just find a good way of putting chrome stacks on it, the big rig look will almost be complete.

ECCB,

Do this for the look you want. Get a "J" pipe from, say, Boyce Equipment in Ogden Utah. Brett in parts is awesome to work with. I've known him for almost 20 years now. Run the pipe under the cowling and then carefully cut a hole for the up-pipe to fit into. I added a muffler to my M103A2 so I could actually talk to the passenger in my truck. Two benefits: 1: I could Fjord a river 3 feet higher with that adaptation along with a couple of other things I did to her. 2: I could actually carry on a real conversation without going hoarse..... Here are the pics to show what I mean:

Only singles on those back axles?

It's not recommended, but is doable.....

Spent four hours yesterday, we finally got most of the adhesives off. Gasoline ended up being the most effective.

cadillackid 05-28-2017 06:33 AM

Good deal, wonder if brake fluid would take that off , I realize brake fluid kills paint but the bus gets repainted anyway

IDK. We've tried virtually every chemical we can find. Even with the gas it takes a LOT of effort and time to get this crap off.

What would REALLY make my life easier, though, would be to find where to buy the seal that goes around the WC door.
NO ONE seems to have parts for this thing when I make inquiries.

cadillackid 05-28-2017 07:37 AM

what kind of seal is it? we might be able to adapt car-door seal to it..

Its a ridiculous proprietary thing made specifically for the door. They're both so funky they can't be duplicated without a TON of fabrication. A TON.

At first I thought it was just one of the orders I'd placed for rivets, but when I shook it, I knew my treasure had arrived!

It is a cool ornament, reminds me of the movie "Howard the Duck". I thought it was a funny flick, lots of duck puns. I'm not duckin' kiddin!

Teal or more of a Aqua Marine?

I use this product to remove decal adhesive, made in the USA. Soak a rag, wash the adhesive with wet rag, use a plastic scraper like a bondo applicator to scrape the adhesive off. It'll come off like big globs of snot, wipe the globs off on a dry rag and repeat. Fine tune the rest with the wet rag. Use a rubber glove it'll dry out your skin, it's also got a pretty good hum and will light up quite well. Automotive paint friendly.

I don't know where to get that stuff, but I'll look for it in the future, thanks!

This might be too late, but I just watched a video of a guy easily removing decals off his skoolie with this: https://www.amazon.com/Transtar-6673...=transtar+6673

I am totally ordering it!

I just watched video again... he removed a 6"x6" decal in 1 minute 17 seconds with it, not apparent damage to the metal!
