These Windows!!!
1 Attachment(s)
First off, I do not like the looks of busses that have RV windows in them. I really like the look of skoolies that have bus windows in them. I am going to get rid of a few, but plan on keeping most of them. I am not full timing, so I don't care about heat loss.

Has anyone ever bought replacement bus windows and put in new bus windows? Or do I just need to work with what I have?

I'm sure not, so I need to fix what I've got...

They used to leak like a sieve.

I used Lexon to seal the gaps between the aluminum window frames and the steel on the bus. But I still have a slight amount of leaking.

Each piece of glass has a a black piece of rubber between the glass and the aluminum frame. There is a separate piece on each of the four sides of the glass so it is not a continuous gasket around the glass. There is one on the inside and one on the outside.

This is a pic of the inside window. This rubber doesn't go to the end of the glass so water gets in the corners.

I circled the black rubber thing and drew an arrow to the spot where water comes in.

So now, should I use silicone to seal the glass to the aluminum frame?
