Fresh water pump question

I'm trying to decide if I want to put my water heater under the bathroom counter or kitchen counter. I originally planned on putting the water heater under the kitchen counter. Water tanks are under bed. Water pump under the bathroom counter.

If I set it up that way, would I lose significant pressure by the time the water gets pumped from the bathroom, all the way to the water heater under the kitchen sink and back to the bathroom. I'm looking at about 25 feet of travel (back and forth) until the hot water gets to the shower. I planned on getting a 3.5 gpm water pump.

Would it be advisable to put the water heater under the bathroom counter?

Also, does it matter how far the pump is away from the water tanks?

Thanks
Dan

Re: Fresh water pump question

BB,
Curently mine is a good 10 feet forward of the bath and kitchen area. I'm using a sureflo pump and pressure is not at all a problem. like smitty said, you waste a lot of water waiting for the hot water to get there, so I think as close to the bath/kitchen area as possible. I'm going to relocate mine when I can.
