There is a factory header (1x1ish) that I am leaving. I do want to cut out the section with all the rivets for clearance. I'm hoping screwing the skin to the header will keep that section intact.

Yes, the foam was sprayed in after we partially stripped it. Apparently a lot of companies can do it. We payed like $600 and wife's brother payed like $1000.

I have worked on semis and trailers and we never welded to frames. A previous poster was right, it messes with the temper. If you look at new semis and trailers, everything is bolted on.
