Re: Skoolie Friendly RV Campgrounds

I have stayed at a couple of KOAs, and they were at least welcoming! The one near the MO/OK border was pleasant and decently priced... I had a good experience at the Jellystone in Nashville. Other...

Re: Where did your bus serve and where is it now?

The Bustache was originally stationed somewhere in Vermont. Then a guy from upstate New York bought her, and planned to cut out the rear and use her as a hang-glider hauler. But, he didn't get to...

Re: Skoolie Friendly RV Campgrounds

I have only been turned away from one park, and that was the Jellystone in Portage, IN. The only irritating thing is that it is not listed in their rules and regulations of their website! The guy was...

Re: how far, and how long are your trips??

When we bought our bus, I flew to NY to drive it back to Savannah, GA - that was about 1000 miles. Then, our maiden voyage (besides buzzing from place to place for prep work and whatnot) was about...

Re: Let's catch-up

I love our Carpenter! The flat nose took some getting used to for me, but I wouldn't go back now. The 5.9 Cummins and Allison transmission is a good pairing, in my opinion. Not everyone's favorite,...

Re: Please post pictures of your front door lock setup.

My bus does not have a lock on the front from the factory, so I have to improvise.

Re: Please post pictures of your front door lock setup.

I am honestly still using a "temporary" solution... I have a 2x4 that I wedge between the first stair and the door to keep in locked. I enter and exit through the back door, and have a pad lock on...

It'll come together. I wish that I had the know-how and time that you do, I really do. But, I just have to rely on others to get my project moving... Speaking of - Anyone looking for side-work?...

Re: what is the outlet on the front of my bus

Yes, probably a block heater. Mine has the same, since it came from Vermont.

Re: New Guy!

My bus is 36' overall. It's perfect, in my opinion - and I LOVE the flat nose. I was skeptical at first because of the look, but I am sold. I love it!

I might take you up on that!

Re: New Guy!

Thanks for the welcome!

As for the plans, we (my girlfriend, Shannon and I) are not doing a full conversion yet. It will not have a bathroom anyway. The kitchenette is roughed in, which we will...
