Yup. you're in the right place. that thing between the master and firewall is the hydro unit. look for bad connections or sensors. Does the hydro motor operate when you apply the brakes, engine off?

I have done what you are doing. Kitchen on one side, bathroom on the other. I ran the pipes under the bus, well insulated, and use pex pipe. less chance of bursting.
