A lot of things have happened since the last update. I swapped in the Cummins and 5R110 Automatic trans. Took a few different "tunes" from my Trans tuner guru to get the transmission working well....

The engine/trans adapter is from Diesel Conversion Specialists. We are using a Ford computer from an 04 F350 with stand alone wiring to operate the transmission.

The trans in the bus now already has a driveline brake on it, so other than moving the crossmember back about 3"to 4" everything should clear. I think the same cable will work too.

99% of commercial rollup doors have the "roll" to the interior. You still need about 18" or so headroom inside or outside. The fire-rated door looks expensive.

This could be a really cool project. Love the look of the 4x4 shuttle bus. At one time, I thought about converting mine to 4x4 but realized that I would need even longer ramps to load my Cobra.
