Lines to the compressor under hood - cap or just cut off?

I've dropped the back unit and have remove the lints all the way up to the engine compartment. What do I do with the connections to the compressor, cap them off?

I did the same thing although I did have a temp....

I did the same thing although I did have a temp. tag (60 days) and drove from Pitt. PA to Atl. with my bus. Just obey the traffic laws and don't do anything stupid. Be safe and enjoy the ride.
