i've heard bad things about bedliner used in this application. that if it gets a nick in it, it will actually trap the moisture inside and it will spread worse.

A duramax caprice would be awesome. Trouble is, you'd have to drive it a few bazillion miles to recoup the investment. I doubt the 4.3 would pick up much mileage and it's not near as good an engine...
