We just double checked and yes. the rear unit does not make a sound when the front is blowing cold air. Also, after a few minutes of running the AC unit, the condenser was not making any noise...

Unless the rear AC is on, the rear unit doesn't make a sound.

What if we were to loop the rear unit tubes and leave the under-body condenser?
