OK, so after a hard rain last week, the stove cement I used to seal the roof at the chimney has cracked and started leaking. I read on someone's page that they used this same method. How's it holding...

Or you could just save water entirely and install a compost toilet :)
I'm looking into this idea myself... just picked up a book called "Humanure" all about the subject... intriguing read.

Started sheeting my windows today. Using 26 ga (yeah I know, thin) from Lowes. Also using Smitty's idea of shingles on the upright columns... looking pretty good so far.

I'm currently debating on what kind of insulation to use... I've heard fiberglass can hold water and cause rust. I'm thinking of styrofoam but can't find any rated higher than R5. Any suggestions?
