Oh, I also just picked up a full set of stainless wheel simulators for $75 !!!
They look great, no more "police car" look for us.

I dove in and modified my door today. I wen the minimalist route for now. I will hopefully get back to it and weld on some smooth sheet metal on the outer surface to replace the middle hinge.

Got the first vent installed tonight. I marked it off from the inside, drilled the four corners, cut out the square with jigsaw with fine metal blade, then trimmed with tinsnips to fit the inside...

Excellent help, I hadn't thought of the snips. I was set to use the sawzall but was worried that the blade would go wonky between the two layers and cut crooked.
