I was not aware of said thread nor have I seen it. I can only think on one hand the number of reasons one would not want to mount a hitch on the flange of a frame. My frame is the same 3/8" thickness...

That was only part of the oil for the diff. It holds almost 5 gallons. No one likes a $500 diff service. Should last me quite a while though. And hopefully net me better mileage over the long haul....
