What you really need to stabilize diesel fuel is an algaecide. Diesel is prime real estate for algae. It grows and when you finally run your engine it clogs the fuel filters.

This guy at work built a hho generator and installed it on his o7 or o8 jeep wrangler. it has only been on there a day or two but he swears the computor on his dash went from 14 or 15 to 20-22 mpg....

We always called what you are describing a visor. The little bitty ones above the headlights on old trucks and motorcycles are eyebrows, try that. Good luck.
