Re: The Silver Snail...

Good gravy...I haven't been here in forever. I feel so old with all the new people. It's totally awesome. Hopefully, I'll be about to stay in touch and maybe get some work done on the Snail this...

Re: Door locks?

I used a garage door dead bolt lock on my back door. I didn't add the key because I didn't want to put another hole in the door. I also changed out my bi-fold door to a "standard" heavy duty...

I was trying to add a link, but it failed. Here's the link to the link in my thread on my bus, The Silver Snail. The link there works, but the copy and paste that I tried didn't work. So here's an...

Re: TV QUESTION

I bought a Haier 22in LED LCD TV from Amazon. It has the same thing as Lorna was saying...huge external power supply. It should hook right up to 12V! It's a full 1080p too! I have right about $180...

Re: noob here, help with electrical

A lot depends on how you're going to use your bus. My bus will be doing a lot of traveling, so powering nearly everything off of 12v is "free power." I don't plan to do much (if any) boondocking, so...

Re: Replacement of bi-fold entrance door

Got my door installed. :) It's not 100% complete, but it operates and works well. Here's the link to my thread with a couple of pics.

Re: What it this button for? (and some weird noises)

I concur. The floor switch is the dimmer switch for the high/low beams.

The pilot light will be for the 8 way flashers. I was able to eliminate mine without too much trouble. I was able to...

Re: The Silver Snail...

I haven't done much work lately on the bus. I am going to scrap my door relocation idea in favor of putting a nice storm door in place of the bi-fold. The two doors I'm looking at are a Larson Secure...

Re: Replacement of bi-fold entrance door

I took another look at my door setup, and, after reading TigerCub's identical thread, I've decided that a 32" door would fit. I only measured to the hinges before. But once I take all of the stuff...
