⚠️ Death from RV Tapwater, CDC Warning⚠️

I remember reading a while back about someone dying from such organisms contracted from the same waters I had spent pretty much 50% of my life submerged under from ages 8-18. It gave me a moment of pause until I studied the numbers. 'Brain eating amoeba' makes great headlines, but so rare as to be orders of magnitude less likely than getting hit by lightning. I used to enjoy swimming in thunderstorms, so I guess I dodged a few bullets in my day o_O

I read this story a while back, and as I recall, the woman had used water from the campground's piping.
I have long-standing sinus issues, and I occasionally irrigate my sinuses. I use only distilled water for this. I dry mix non-iodized salt and baking soda 3 parts salt to 1 part soda, and add 1 tsp of that mix to a cup of water in a clean jar, warm it a bit in the microwave, and have at it. I would never use ANY tap water for this.

Sorry about your sinuses @Ozbozz57. I used to have similar issues, then one day about 10 years ago it just went away. I was always stuffed up constantly. It was like having a cold without having a cold. I don't wish it on anybody. They have surgeries now that can fix this to a large degree, something to do with something enlarged in your upper sinus cavity, and they slice it during surgery, and it tends to shrink as a result and it's helped many people. I think mine just shrunk on it's own over a couple of decades naturally which it can do but it's not something that heals quickly on it's own. You may want to look into this.
