Hey everyone,

I’ve seen a couple people showing how to bypass some vandalock systems but none of the posts have applied to my bus. I guess my bus is a tiny bit newer than others have posted about. I did what everyone said to do… remove and start as you go. Everything went great until a couple hours after everything was done it wouldn’t start anymore. I put everything I could back together best as I could, still no start.
Is anyone able to tell/show me how to just bypass the system from upfront? My ignition wires are all PINK. I know someone gave a very good thorough step by step but my wires don’t match at all (they were showing black/purple wires).

I have contacted Thomas and they gave me the wiring diagram but still not sure what to connect to bypass this system.

PS: I did not decide on a prison bus lol, my username came before I signed the papers on the bus.

ok thats different than the one i did but mine was a different manufacturer?
for my experience i had to tie van lock pilot and van lock relay together.
in your first diagram at this point i would try connecting ckt codes
5a32 and 30.
of course use your volt meter and make sure of what each one is doing in various key switch positions before connecting.
if everything was going fine with the cut/delete and start method?
what is the last one you cut and or did not check start?
or you sure your batteries are just not dead?
after my wire delete i have and am still chasing a parasitic drain but mine was present before the delete

Everything was starting and good until it sat for a little while. I don’t think I have an issue with the batteries because when I turn the key the dash lights don’t turn off/dim at all.

I found the vandalock, but idk

Hey everyone, I found the vandalock finally. I was able to find it because I was tracing the wires back from the starter and there it was. Mounted near the engine (surprised me). Anyways, does anyone know how to rewire or bypass this vandalock? This one is different than the ones I’ve see before… it has two and two connections.

Thanks for sharing those schematics! Finally, another '05 Thomas! Mine is an 32' HDX pusher with Cat in the back. Ripped everything out and did the roof raise before ever becoming aware of the vandalock issue... DOH!
