Cummins/ automatic....

4BT?
6BT?
220?
855?

Allison auto?
AT545?
MT643?
MD3060?
HT730?
HT740?

Or is it a Voith auto? Or maybe a ZF?

Too little to go on, and obviously knows nothing about Crowns. He needs to do some work and get better info out there, but obviously small charter operators equipment. I think I know the orange tandem and if it came from where I think it did, have fun. Most charter operators ran their Crowns to death knowing they would have to get rid of them, so, little to no maintenance. New owners will find out all about this.

The pusher probably has an 8.3 CT or CTA, in which case probably with an MT643. The middies could have a 262 or maybe a 855 - the latter needs the big HT740, but the 743s can use the MT.

Crown never used pickup truck engines or AT545 transmissions! All their buses always used true heavy-duty drivetrains. The MD3060 came out much later than these buses, and the V730 was only for V-drive buses like GMs (it's basically an HT740 without its 1st gear). A few Crowns used the 5-speed MT - I briefly drove my friend Al's Detroit Crown with a 5-speed, and it keeps the engine in its torque band better than the MT643s. I've never heard of a Voith or ZF in a Crown!

Caveat emptor.
