First thing remove the seats.

I started out by removing the bottoms of all the seats. At first i was easy about it and it took time until i figured out what to do. Under the seat, closed to the isle and at the front of the seat, there is a tab with a screw that holds it in place. Losing that screw, turn the tab, lift up on the outer side of the seat and pull forward and push back, most all popped right out and a few i had to losing the other screw at the front, under the seat, and towards the wall.

Next and nastiest, because the seat were mildewie (Yeah that's a word:biggrin:) I cut the seat covers off with an exacto knife and then just pulled the cushion straight up. There were a couple that gave me trouble at the bottom of the seat but just work it off and it will come.

With an electric impact wrench, on the four floor bolts per seat, two per leg, and someone underneath holding the nut. We did half the bus that way and I lost my help about half way through so I moved to a die grinder, It was quicker but I really wanted to keep the nuts and bolts because they were hardened steel and I knew sooner or later I could reuse them.

Finally, just with a open end/ boxed in wrench and a socket with an extension and ratchet, most came out without difficulty at all. A few on the bottom I used the open end side of the wrench when space was an issue.

Next remove heater

Needed: Something to cut hoses, #2 phillips head with electric drill, Flat head screwdriver.
The heater components removed were the shield that covers the heater hose and wiring, heater, the hoses, the wiring, and the small electric water pump that is about in the middle of the bus to deliver water to the heater core.
Something I did was used a clean 5 gallon bucket to collect the coolant to reused if it were clean...and it was. It was about 3 gallons of liquid gold. I snipped the wires one at a time from the heater box, unscrewed and removed the shielding. I cut the hosed from inside the bus, just behind the driver's seat and drained it into the 5 gallon bucket with the help of my daughter and her boyfriend. After i cut the hose, they cut it from the heater releasing the vacuum and then cutting it completely and raising it above them and moving up until it was all emptied into the bucket. Then i went under the bus, pulled the hose from the bottom and drained more coolant. Then i cut the hose so it wasn't hanging down and spliced the two heater hoses together. I disconnected the battery then found the wires for the heater in the fuse panel and removed them and pulled them into the bus and removed them from the inside of the bus. Heater is completely gone!
