1991 ward international

I wanted to start by saying thank you to all the people who take the time to post their projects here. Its great help to those of us new to converting buses. I'm a 25 year old aircraft mechanic in illinois and I recently bought a 1991 Ward International bus with a DT466 and 101,000 miles. I plan on converting the bus into an RV and use it for road trips with friends. The bus was used by a limo company as a party bus for the last few years. It came with 2 working roof A/C units, a full sound system with 2 14" subs, and a small bathroom in the rear. I was able to purchase it for $3000, and it runs and drives great. So far I've removed all of the interior down to the metal floor, removed the under seat heaters and removed the coolant lines to them. There is some rust on a couple body panels, but the frame and floor beams are solid. I plan on picking up a salvaged RV door and windows this weekend and starting on the body repair and modifications. Excited to start on this project!

This was just an old bus the company was retiring. The ones they still use are coach busses that were all decked out inside, much nicer than this one

You sure that the mileage is accurate? That's really low considering the life the bus has had so far. Still in her prime, I'm sure. They're great buses.

The odometer is working now, but I guess I can't really be 100% sure the milage is accurate. The party bus company said it only drove about every other weekend. They said they only put 30,000 miles on it since they purchased it in the early 2000's.

the party busses im used to seeing are typically the E-350 shuttle style only decked out... though one limo comopany in columbus has a freightliner.. looks like an FL-90 front end and a sleek decked out body on it.. the whole side is blacked out glass.. and inside its like a luxiry liner... cant imagine what that thing goes for an hour..

but I kind of like the idea of a skoolie party bus.. for those that want lower cost drunk-fests.. what could be easier to clean up after those that cant handle their booze. skoolie floors and seats..
