Posting this running, reliable, project bus for my friend. A lot of time and money has gone into this project and it is a great investment for business or future home on wheels.

1998 Flat nose Blue Bird
8.3l Cummins (no oil leaks)
Allison Transmission (shifts smooth!)
180k miles
All new lights (all work, no flasher system anymore)
No rust anywhere
Tires are used but still in good shape
Proper roof raise, doesn’t leak anywhere.
Whole exterior was repainted afterwards
Interior dimensions 7.5 tall, 7.5’ wide, 30’ living space
Floor has already been removed, sanded, por59d, insulated and subfloored.
Has 2 max fans installed
4000w of solar (6series, 4series, 6seties) 3 drops
Solar ($4500 in material)
Kill mat sound deadening on all sheet metal.


Roof Raise was done personally and professionally. Looks as if it was done from the factory. Roof raise values from other companies range ~$28k

Starts, runs, drives and shifts excellently.

One, maybe Two Questions

First post. Welcome to Skoolie.Net.

I dont see over the road AC or Heat and the small kilmat stickers wont seal out sound or temps. Is the asking price $7,500?

I didnt read the words "For Sale", yet I might presume it is not a prospective bus in which you plan to buy. (If it is a prospect, the random seam tape, on the interior ceiling, is a red flag)

If you are offering to sell at $75k, we won't want to know what country in which the sale item is located.

Kill mat reduces vibrations on larger sheet metal while driving therefore reducing sound. It is not meant for complete sound deadening or reduction of temps.

Overhead AC or heat was not mentioned because it is not present.

With a 28k valued roof raise alone I think it can be assumed that the price is not $7500.

This bus: $75K for an incomplete project...

Paint looks good, but I think the price might be just a tad high - especially considering the fact that there is a similar bus for sale (Broccoli Bus), that is complete and ready to go for $20K less...but that's just my opinion...

I did a roof raise on mine , 18”.
Materials were way under $2500. 00.

My math…
2 guys working 40 hrs a week for 3 weeks…= 240 man hours.
28 grand minus 2,500 in materials leaves us $25,500

25500 / 240 = $106.25 per hour ( labor )

In all honesty, 2 guys can do a 40’ roof raise in 7-10 days.

I did mine by myself , no helpers, so i know what it takes.

Most roof raises only cost like $2k in materials, and no labor if doing it yourself. Not $28K. If you paid someone for labor, you're probably looking 20 hours generously if they know what they are doing. $150 an hour x 20 = $3000. So $3000 + $2000 in parts is $5000. If you paid someone $28K for a roof raise, you seriously did not do your homework as most here have done, and we all know what it costs roughly for a roof raise job.

I'll even do you a solid, and try to help you out. Removal of seats, Inside skin removal, Price of bus at auction that they can be obtained for, all would probably add up to around $11k-$15k roughly is what your target market can obtain what you have for. And that's about what anyone would pay for this bus.

Now if it was complete with all amenities, that's where the value really skyrockets as it's a ready made RV, Then you're talking like $30k - $85k depending on quality of items, finishings, and state of all the mechanics. Those are the current market values. You aren't going to find someone here to buy a bus in that state for $75,000, you're not even close. And if you truly did pay 28K for a roof raise, you're better off finishing the bus, and then trying to sell it to recoup some of the losses.
