I removed the camera box from my bus and drilled the lock. All i see inside is a small electronic card with what looks like a small pinhole camera and it has a red light in front to show it is on. The sound holes in front were covered inside by a square block of foam. Only 2 wires gong in. I don't see how this thing could transmit anything. No connection for a antena Any comments?:Thanx::Thanx:

many of them were download type cameras, where the images were downloaded via an interface..

is there any markings on the board?

Board about 4x5" black and red going in and then red wire connects to blue wire. on board printing says Blue = LED Red= Camera Black = Ground

The LED is a red light on the front to show it is on. The mirror on the front is a one way mirror and a 4x5 mirror at anagle shooting image to a small pinhole camera.

No storage device and no way to send it if there was. Says Robotics Technologies Copyright 1993.

Looks fake to me.

Thanks. I reassembled the thing and i cannot see where anything else was mounted. I get a photo and post it. I looked at the brochures and they are later models.

I havnt pulled mine apart yet, but I feel mine is fake also, there is nowhere to connect to it and I have not found any other module/interface for it anywhere on the bus. I have a feeling that the wire runs behind the panel and just stops.

Only a partial fake? This technology was very expensive in the 90's and video storage was low. How about a school district purchased the camera boxes with a partial set up. The hard drive was actually only in one or so buses and the Superintendent etc was the key holder and kept the secret that maybe only one bus could record a one hour loop etc. When problems started on a route then they just switched out bus for awhile for the one that was actually equipped to record.

that RTI is not a fake camera.. it is a real camera... my guess is that as mentioned the DVR for it was only connected when needed or there were other parts which were removed... but that board is a real camera not a fake...

Fake for the kids but they are real with the added loop hard drive . RTI wasn't scamming.
