This is my favorite build here on skoolie.com. Are you going to replace the original rubber flooring?

I like the original rubber floor. Problem I am having is that when camping in the 20's it is cold as ****. I believe I will get some padding and carpet for wintertime use. The floor is heavy duty and easy to sweep out. To help with the cold I put up a curtain at rear bench/bed and one behind driver seat. My little buddy heater does ok. I would have thought there would be more insulation. I cover the windows with blackout curtains. Looking for a better solution to that as well.

Out of curiosity, what brand and model # of TV did you decide on? I have no desire to have one in my bus (the laptop is sufficient for the amount of TV I watch), but for those who aren't aware: many of the smaller LCD TVs are 12v. When walking around Walmart or the like, look at the power supplies of the floor models. You'll see many of them are down-converting 110vac to between 12vdc and 20vdc. If it's 12-14vdc you could probably take the risk and connect it directly to the battery bank (which can be upwards of 14 volts, but I'd be willing to risk it on a cheap TV), or find a reasonable regulator on eBay to keep the voltage at 12vdc regardless. It just skips an electrical conversion step and may be more convenient if you manually turn on your inverter. 12vdc -> 110Vac inverter -> 12vdc seems silly if you aren't running a mondo TV..

We are considering some sort of Insulation from the underside unless we lay some under a new floor. Our bus has holes (mounting holes?) in the floor surface all over the place that I will have to seal up. I have been using the bus for three years now, and it gets COLD in the winter on that floor. It is awesome for sweeping out sand though. Did you have holes in your floor when you put the benches in? I am trying to decide what to patch them with.

I filled my holes with a weatherproof silicone, just takes someone on the bottom to close the bottom of the hole while it is filled. I just left my rubber floor in and built on top of it but I must say even after I just had an insulated floor in it felt much warmer.

My seats were mounted with tracks that had removable lugs on them, so no holes. Forgot name on tv, but it uses almost NO power., I blew the darn intake on mine and its been in the shop for 2 weeks. $$$$$$$ I made a long trip prior to intake leak and was very happy with a 10.4 mpg out of my v10. I drove 65 most of the way.
Mechanic said he found writing under intake where it was done at 95k miles. Mileage now is 175k.
As far as tv voltage. My battery bank under bed voltages fluctuated as high as 14 and as low as 12.6. Tv didnt seem to mind.
