I have for sale a 2000 BlueBird for Sale!
Asking $7000. Reasonable offers considered. I'm ready for it to move very soon so I can continue with my next project!!!
It is located in Western Kansas, near Scott City/Oakley KS.
It is a flat nose bus with the Cummins 5.9L diesel in the front.
125,xxx miles. All runs good!!!
It is one of the longer buses, 40' or so.
Allison 545 Auto Transmission
You could be the lucky one to finish up my project!!!! Check out my Bus - Camper for sale!!! I started it.... and you can redo anything to your liking! There is lots of room for your imagination!
I purchased it directly from a Kansas school district when they retired it from their fleet.
All seats have been removed and the process is started to make it into a house on wheels, your next camping rig, or a hunting hideout!
The bus IS WIRED for 50 amp plug in service. Electrical outlets are placed near the roofline curve about every 6 feet. Ample breakers keep the breakers from popping when too much power is drawn! Currently, 8 breakers are used in a 12 slot box.
There is a roof top AC/heat. This is a 110v unit. Purchased brand new in Spring 2022. Works great!!!
A diesel heater is wired in to the batteries. It is NOT plumbed in to bus fuel tank. I used an external fuel tank. Heater works awesome!!!
Two nice sized emergency exits. One on the door entry side and one at the rear. One roof emergency exit became the AC/heat space. The other roof emergency exit is available.
The floor was completely torn out down to the metal. The metal was sanded down and painted with the Royal Jelly rust prevention paint.
Floor is insulated with 2” pink foam board. The Insulation is covered with plywood. Floor is currently a laminate floor. I have extra flooring. A small area needs replaced at the emergency exit on the right side of the bus. The laminate floor does not stand up well to the super hot summer sun when I had the door open all the time!
The sidewalls have 1.5” of poly-iso foam board insulation.
The windows have NOT been pulled out, sanded, and re-sealed. If you plan to turn this into your full time living rig, you will need to do this task.
The roof is still intact and the original fiberglass insulation.
Tires still have lots of life left!
This bus is ready for you to put your character into it to be your adventure rig!!!
I will update photos as anything changes in the interior.
Currently, the Fridge and Toolbox and metal flowers on the roof, ARE NOT INCLUDED with the bus!!!
More photos available on request to an email…..
Serious inquiries only. NO TRADES. Reasonable offers considered.
Located in Scott County, KS. You must come pick it up!
