Yes, it sure is, Mkot2629! Hopefully it'll even be half decent weather here in a few days for folks to test drive it. This is our first time selling a used bus; do you have any questions about it that weren't covered in the description or photo gallery?

I'm sure I'll think of a few questions throughout the day. As of now this is what I got....
1. What shape are the tires in?
2. What kind of maintenance schedule has the bus been on? Rigorous school maintenance or backyard mechanic maintenance?
3. What is the ceiling height at the center of the bus?
4. Much rust underneath to speak of?
5.Is the price negotiable?
6. Is this bus located in PA?

Any other info that you think would be helpful to me would be great! I'm looking to buy within the next month and a half.

Thank you,
Mike

A few more things that would be helpful are:
Highway speed?
Transmission model number?
Tire date codes? (old tires with full tread that "look new"will still come apart on the highway)
When were fluids and filters last changed?
Do you have maintenance records?
And lastly do all dashboard lights work?

Thanks!

Mkot2629 and Malkieri, thanks for your help/advise in improving my ad listing. I will go gather the information you've requested/suggested and update my post asap. Thanks again.

Info Update

Hey all, sorry for the delay. Here's some more information on the bus:

All tires have good tread and passed PA inspection.

The bus is inspected through April 2015.

We bought this bus in 2009, until which time it was maintained and inspected as a working school bus. In the time we've owned the bus, we've put less than 2000 miles on it. Fluids and filters were last changed on 4/9/12 at 130494 miles; less than 1000 miles ago.

More detailed maintenance records are available upon request, but the only recent unusual maintenance was a new master cylinder for the hydraulic system, which was installed shortly before we bought the bus.

The interior ceiling height is 6'3"

There is hardly any rust on the underside of the bus; certainly no structural concerns.

The bus does have a working hour meter, which currently reads 5996 hours.

The bus is currently governed at 62mph.

All dash lights work.

The bus has a working block heater, and started well through this past cold winter (we have never regularly driven it in the winter, but we did have a few folks stop by to look at it in Jan/Feb).

I could not find anything that looks like a date code on the tires. If that is a critical piece of information for any of you, and you can tell me how to find it (or if you can find it on a photo of each tire) I will be happy to gather that info.

The bus is currently located in central PA.

The price is firm at $3200

If there is any other useful information that those of you more knowledgable than myself can glean from it (such as transmission model number, etc);

The model is: 01-3205-76
The VIN is: 1HVBBABPXYH301059

Thanks for looking!

Hi Kcklr74; BC? Probably not, sorry :-(

Wish I had the time to make a good road trip out of it, but our season it about to start (we run guided kayak trips here in PA) so delivery outside the state is unlikely to work for us.

Thanks for looking, though, and I like your avatar (we have a border collie on our farm)

Moving a bus that far would add a few $1000 in fuel to the cost any way.

I love the collies. I have a wiener collie my self. 3/4 the size body of a border collie, in a wiener dog frame. Cute short little legs.

I live down in MD and would like to come up and take a look at it. We have a wedding at our house May 3rd so can't stick a bus in the yard before then but if it is still available in a few weeks I was looking at the weekend of May 16/17th. Thoughts?

Great, we've had a couple folks come to see it, with maybe a couple more in the near future, but if it is still available on the 16/17th we would be happy to meet with you. Of those two days, Saturday the 16th is better for us, though we could probably work with the 17th if need be, particularly in the morning/evening of the 17th. The PA inspection runs out at the end of April, so if it needs to be inspected to get to MD we would need some lead time and/or some small financial commitment/deposit to make that happen (though there's absolutely no reason to think it won't pass inspection, we would probably not otherwise inspect it as we are no longer using it in our business).

If the bus sells before then, I will update this thread right away. Otherwise, let's stay in touch over the next couple weeks in case we're trying to coordinate something for that weekend.

Thanks,
Jeremy

The 16th would work great. You're a few hours away so maybe sometime in the early afternoon or later? We can keep it tentative since that date is still about a week away. However let me know if coordinating specifics via email or phone would be easier as we get closer and I can leave you my contact info!
