2000 Cummins ISB 5.9 Running Hot. Rear Engine. MD3060 Transmission.

I measured the sq area of the front of the charge air cooler and used that as a reference for my door vents. I cut 2 holes in the door that were slightly larger than the CAC and then mounted some aluminium grill material to keep from sticking my hands in the belts. I did that before I installed the louvers. Both helped but the rear vents did the most. I now have a 20 degree drop through the radiator now. The back door is running at a vacuum when at speed so between the louvers and the door vents i'm pulling more air through the radiator. The bedroom used to be hotter than the hubs of **** before the mods and now it is not. In the winter it would be nice and warm now it is cold. In the summer it was unbearable.

I agree 100%.
Run the engine higher rpm NOT lower.
Higher rpm turns the water pump and fan at high rpm.
Also the thermostat sets the minimum running temperature. It has nothing to do with limiting the temperature
