Is there a manual or video showing the installation of a radiator for my 2001 International AmTran Flat nose bus?

I have the radiator pulled but I think i did it the wrong way. I took the rad out of the bracket. I think the bracket folds down at the top, noticed after removing the radiator and inner cooler. All the bolts were rusted and most snapped. Will be in need of a rad, some isolator mounts, and some new hardware.

What's the best way to find parts for replacements? International Dealer? Online?

International dealer would probably be your best bet, to ensure correct OEM fitment of the parts. Rush truck centers dealerships that specialize in international vehicles could also help, both for parts, build sheets and diagrams (both part and component) for your particular bus.

That's where I go to get diagrams for my 06 CE200. Only thing they would need to pull up the part diagrams is the last 8 of your VIN.

As for the manual and/or video. Begs the question on what setup the bus is. You mentioned it was a flat nose transit style. Is it a Forward Engine, or Rear Engine?

If you took the straps off the radiator then a radiator shop can re-install them and check for leaks etc at same time.

Its a Front Engine Bus. I called International and they said the radiator is discontinued. They could get after market at around $2200 plus freight. I called around and found auto value could get me one. They had one in ohio OEM for $1095 plus tax. I ended up ordering that.

The top and bottom rails are way to rusted. That was my first thought of a repair and seal. They would laugh at me for trying I think. lol.

I called International today and they said the radiator is discontinued. They could get after market at around $2200 plus freight. I called around and found auto value could get me one. They had one in Ohio, OEM, for $1095 plus tax. I ended up ordering that. I will try to prefab/ modify something for the isolator bolts at the bottom. International dealer said they were $40 a piece.

Thanks for the good info and help!!! I found lots of good info searching in the spots noted in the replies. Radiator is back in with a new one and running again!!

* Found a replacement radiator at AutoValue for $900 with tax. Last one they had in there system. Shipped up from Ohio three days later.
* Decided to just clean up the inner cooler. Replaced into the split radiator and connected hoses.
* Rebuilt the bottom of the radiator frame with new steel. The bottom was rusted out. Welded new parts in and fitted with new bolt hardware.
* I did four clean water flushes until it came clean. Then filled with new green nitrate free coolant. Will need to add the additive to the mix at some point.
* Also cleaned the reservoir while I was at it. Holy smokes it was dirty and full of scum.
* 7 was the final number of gallons my buss held for cooling. Radiator, front heater core, and the reservoir.
* Just need to remake some brackets for the front cowl/ headlight holder that snapped on removal. Then installing the bumper back up into place will finish it.
* Thinking I might get a new thermostat installed for the final good measure. Easier in the driveway then on the road with a breakdown.

Thermostats made a big difference on mine but I also dropped down a temp. range.

I also added a filler strip between the bumper and hood leaving it open on my rad. Preventing air getting bottled up behind the rad on the free way can reduce airflow to a point. Same time a made an airdam. Should have done one at a time but my engine fan does not come on near as much.

Don't wait long on that additive. Short term not conserning, just don't forget about it.

I had an inter-coler die on my DT360.. I could hear it.. did a smoke test and it had cracked at the welds...

I vac tested the inner cooler with the shop vac on the bench. Seemed to hold. I figured I would monitor it moving forward. All in, radiator and fluids, I couldn’t spend any more money for the month. LOL
