Does it have the Dodge version of the Cummins 5.9 or the medium duty version? Or maybe an 8.3?

What transmission does it have?

Asking price?

$7500 is really be tough if you cannot tell potential buyers what engine and transmission the bus has. Potential buyers here tend to be particularly concerned about what drive train it has.

Good luck.

I showed it to my wife and she is drooling over it! :)

Really want to know what engine and transmission it has in it. I could not find this information on the website.

its a freightliner, not a dodge.. appears to be sold to the coach builder as an FE bus chassis like a school bus, VIN decode shows a 5.9, since its freightliner on a 19k-23k class it will be medium duty ISB.. .. trans anyone best guess but probably AT545 for a shuttle bus.

if it did happen to be a trans other than an. AT545, a bus like this could check off some boxes for people in favor.. it has a service door behind the front so a co-pilot chair is already insalled, has a nice dash and windshield that feel less industrial and more motor-home like.. including dash-air.. Id want to see an ECM report though as 47k miles is low which could mean it spent a lot of time idling being a shuttle.. would also want to inspect it for black mold in the fiberglass body.. they lowered the price once and are asking 5950.. an offer of 4k for a bus that checks off boxes for someone might not be such a bad deal..

Not sure how to tell.....we took it on trade.....my mechanic who works on our diesel pickups said it is a cummins with an allison transmission.im not sure if he is right or not.we don't usually have these busses on our lot.

I have never seen a bus with an automatic that was not an Allison. Allison makes a very broad of transmissions. The specific model makes a big difference.

If you or your mechanic want to crawl under the bus and look at the data plate on the transmission oil t will tell you. If you can't find it you can take some pictures of the transmission and post them here and we can help you with determining what transmission you have.

post a picture of the shifter up close.
Looks like a real sweet bus for the money. Co-pilot seat is very cool and it even has dash AC!
