I won two busses at auction yesterday! I've decided to keep the shuttle bus and sell the Gillig low floor. It's 40ft long, has 435k mi, runs and drives well, and has current CA registration. Cummins 8.3L. Engine retarder. Wheelchair access. Bicycle rack removed. The Allison is a B400r, i believe, and was recently rebuilt. It has an overdrive gear, so the bus is capable of apx. 65 mph. Tires are 60% or better all the way around.

It's lived it's entire life in California so it's rust free. It was used by the city of Madera until recently. New CARB regulations require it to be registered out of state. Here's an opportunity for you conversion guys to get a solid platform to build on. Interior width is apx 8ft, height: 8ft, a bit under 7ft on upper platform.

I've priced it for a quick sale ($4,000) which is FIRM! Come fly out to beautiful Southern California while the airfare is cheap. I have it listed elsewhere but will hold it for a SERIOUS buyer. It's sitting in a bus depot just east of Los Angeles. Contact: Ray (619) 499-5038

Would that happen to be the yard in Montebello off Slauson and Telegraph? Just up the street from that other Charter Company? Did you see the green and white Crown there? That's the one I drive still. Guess the seller wasn't able to get his transit bus exemption from CARB, those TYRANT Bastards.

Yes, it's the Montebello yard. I didn't see your bus (too distracted) but i'll look out for it next time i'm up there. They retired my bus because of CARB. New exhaust scrubbers cost $12k, and i don't see anyone except government subsidized fleets paying for that!
