Make Freightliner
Model FS65
Length uhm.. its a 77 passenger..
Miles 204,000 give or take
Engine -CAT3126B
Trans - Allison 2500 PTS
Location Marshfield, WI area
Price $2500 obo.. (will deliver if within a reasonable distance..driving isn't a problem for me. I'm a school bus driver anyways.. so... like lets call it most i'm willing to drive is couple states over unless we worked out some arrangement as part of the purchase price.. don't mind shuttling a couple states away.. as long as we worked in some kind of agreement where you'd pay my return one-way train ticket or airfare at the cheapest rate.. like southwest or amtrak or something.)

I have a 2003 Freightliner FS65. Good runner with Cat 3126 7.2 L engine and has an Allison 2500 PTS 5 speed automatic w/ overdrive. Recently had new alternator and belt installed when I picked the bus up. The bus company had put on an alternator but, apparently didn't put the pulley on right, which caused it to spin off the belt and chew it up.. had to get it towed and fixed on the way home. $369 tow bill and $310 repair bill. Truck Country in Chippewa Falls/Lake Hallie, WI put the correct pulley on and replaced the belt with a new one.

Due to some changes in life situation, I will have to sell the bus. I am moving to Minnesota in June. My girlfriend decided to transfer to a college there to finish a 4 year degree instead of an Associates. With the move, this puts me between a rock and a hard place. I can't store it anywhere around where we are moving, and after assessing things, would be just easier to pass it on to someone else.

All i've done is replace the AM/FM radio. thats about it. I also have a part I bought from Allison to replace the Transmission speed sensor (the part that communicates between the transmission and the speedometer. its an easy fix.. part was only 18 bucks.

Bus ran like a champ between Minneapolis to Marshfield,WI, apart from the little blurp I had.. Has lots of power.

heres two different videos of it running:

We have the older sister to your bus. When we listened to your videos we were impressed at how quiet it was running with the door open. Perhaps it was the snow dampening the sounnd , but it did soud good.

To all potential buyers ... based on my experience with the 2002 model of the same bus and by the photos and videos, this bus looks like a great buy!

these are great busses..unfortunate that things changed.. need to move and unable to do the project now for the time being.. not like this is the only bus out there. can always but a different one down the road.
