Are you looking for a quarantine project? Always wanted to remodel a skoolie? Now is your chance.

My life circumstances have all but completely stopped me from being able to work on this. I've tried for several months to find time, but between work, kids, and now being homeless due to the coronavirus and other issues, I am getting to the point that it makes more sense to sell it than keep it.

For sale: 2007 10 window bus from southern Indiana. 195k miles on a Mercedes medium duty diesel motor and Alison 4 speed auto transmission. I've driven it 450 miles home to NC and that's it. Drives perfectly. Brand new steer tires. Oil change and PM service done. Checked by two mechanics, solid and sound. A very small amount of rust, just some surface spots and such.

I removed the seats, applied rust remover, caulked all holes, and applied Rust-Oleum to steel floor before laying down 7/16 plywood and then maple hardwood flooring.
I took out 9 windows and replaced them with plywood backed sheet metal. I like the continuity of space and it makes it easier to do walls when the windows are removed. They are gone, given away.
I've built a bed/couch, and will probably build another if I get some time off before I sell it. I've framed in the master bedroom, bathroom,.and two bunks. I have not removed the ceiling, but there is 2" rock wool throughout the bus, which is sufficient for most environments.

I have a black tank, grey tank, and blue tank for water. I got a large propane tank installed under the passenger side. I can hook up propane if you like. I bought all the parts to hook everything up and just need to put it all together. I have an oven. I'm unsure about the fridge I bought second hand, but it comes with it. Also a 20,000btu heater and 6 gallon water heater. I'll include any tools you need to do installs if I have them.

I'm selling this for what I have in it. I paid $6000 for the bus, not including tax, tag, title, plane ticket to get it, and insurance. I can help you with all of that. It is not currently titled as an RV. I've put my heart and soul into it and spent a lot of money on what I've done so far.

Here's some pictures and an update on my status.
I've just spent another $400 in materials this week, and I'm trying...really trying to do this thing. But I'm having trouble. It's slow going with little experience. I'd love to sell it to someone who wants to give it the love it deserves!

hang in there redrivermama you will get through this?
i know this virus mess sucks and sorry about your situation but your work looks good.
hang in there
wish i was closer to help but i have my own family stuff going on right now so probably wouldnt be much help?
this sight is about the only thing i do computer wise and its just to take/get a break from what i need and should be dealing with?
just hang in there.
if you really want to sell then post in the classifieds section on here or facebook market place.
you might already have ?
i dont know?
but i think you already have more invested than you are actually going to be able to sell for so i think you need to see it through and enjoy your hard work by using it.
this virus mess/lockdown will go away

The problem is that at the rate I have to work on it, it will be next year before it's finished, like late next year. There is so much left to do, and I have been working so much just to keep up with other things. Truthfully, the bus has become a drain on the rest of my life. It hurts to think about it, and it hurts to work on it knowing that it is holding me up from moving on with the other options life has presented me. I really need to just let it go. My loss is your gain!

I also will not be able to do much on it for a while. The place where it is staying is evicting it (due to covid), and my only options for a parking spot don't have electricity. So where it is now in work done is where it will sit until I can find new digs. Sigh...this is really for the best for me, if I can just find a buyer. I'm willing to wheel and deal!

Tools that can be included include:
Circular saw
Finish nailer
Air compressor
Jigsaw
Angle grinder
And various hand tools

Also, the mini fridge is 110 only. It uses 600w/day, and I decided on that instead of propane because I can put the extra money in solar panels and it will be fine. But alas, I won't be working on this thing for a few months and my life is taking a whole different turn, so... You can do your own solar? Make me an offer!
