Does anyone have a picture or PDF of the 2008 IC CE-300 bus chassis fuse panel? The diagram inside the door only has the body fuse panel diagram.

Did you ever get an answer?

Wondering if you ever got an answer on this one. I just purchased the exact same bus model and am trying to gather resources about the bus to have handy during our demo and build process.

Welcome to both of you 2 new guys.

There are many good folks here that go out of their way to help and there some things that I ask you keep in mind.

FIRST - DO NOT CUT ANY WIRES UNTILL YOU HAVE DONE ALL YOUR RESEARCH FIRST. A GOOD OR WILD GUESS WILL GET YOU IN TROUBLE.

SECOND - READ, READ, READ AND USE THE SEARCH BUTTON. YOUR PROBABLY NOT THE FIRST ONE TO ASK THE QUESTION YOUR GONNA ASK, SO PLEASE, DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE ASKING.

THIRD - YOU BUSSES MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE A BODY CONTROL MODULE. IT IS UP TP YOU TO FIND OUT THIS ANSWER, DO YOU HAVE ONE? IF YOUR GONNA PLAY WITH THE WIRING THEN YOU BETTER UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON...

LASTLY - YOUR BUSSES WILL HAVE INTERLOCKS AND YOUR GONNA WANT TO REMOVE THEM...ASK/SEARCH BUTTON FIRST AND SEE IF ANYONE HAS ALREADY DONE THIS, READ SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT TO DO.

AND WELCOME TO THE SKOOLIE MADNESS!

Thanks!

Definitely not rushing into wire cutting. My current issue is a speedometer that doesn't work and so having the wiring and fuse diagrams handy when I'm troubleshooting will be incredibly useful. I appreciate the files!

Zork was a jerk. He went off in a huff a couple of years ago and hasn't been back. Otherwise, Ewo is spot on. Don't mess with the electrical system until you understand what each wire and circuit does!!!

Ask questions, read lots of threads, ask more questions. Read the answers, ask more questions.....

Lots of smart people here willing to help. This ain't Fakebook.

Welcome, and good luck...

broken speedometer - this should be getting its speed signal from the allison transmission.. the signal goes into the ECM which then sends it to the gauge cluster over the data link..

if you plan to keep this bus a long time, I would invest in a Nexiq USBlink clone and download the free software from Navistar... the software works on all Non-Maxxforce engines.. so as long as your DT466 doesnt have Maxxforce badging on it then the free software works.. you could then see if the speed signal is getting into the ECM or if its getting lost before hand..

the signal is generated by the allison TCM on typically pin 25 of the 4th gen ECM. (supposed to be a brown wire)..

if the signal makes it from your allison to the ECM (shows up in the software).. then you can likely figure the gauge cluster itself is at fault since all of your other gauges work fine..

One exception to this is on the 3box, it goes through your VPM first then to ECM. I know this because my Speedo didn't work until my VPM was fixed. At least it passes through the VPM channel lines to get to the ECM.

Either that or it requires values from the VPM to calculate the speed based on the signal it's receiving. I just know it won't work without a functioning VPM.

This isn’t a 3 box.. the speed is measured completely different on a 3 box or a single box with a mechanical transmission .. I’m talking of the OP setup here which is ironically considered a 2 box(ECM and IDM) (plus possibly a BCM).

Why the clone version and not the actual Nexiq USB link 2? The Nexiq is on Prime day special at around $230 and I haven't found anywhere to buy a clone yet.

My engine is not a maxxforce

normally the regular nexiq is $750 and the clone is $250 or under :)

I have the real one i got 8 years ago and it works like a champ.. so yes if you found the real USBlink 2 for that price then I say get it.

I found his link on Amazon. It was the real one. I used a $50 gift card, and ordered one for $180 just now lmao.

Now I need to get Windows 7 installed on an older laptop to use it.

Ordered the nexiq usb 2... now I just need to learn to use it. :thumb::confused:

There's a huge learning curve to all this and I prefer to really understand something well before I start tearing it apart. That's why I say I don't plan to tear apart any wiring without really understanding what I'm looking at.

Prime day has been a nice way to pick up some discounted gear for our build, so thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Just wish I had my solar system mapped out because renogy has their panels on deep prime discounts today. Oh well, there's always black frday.
