I Osphoed (I think that is a verb) my floor and then painted it with Rustoleum Professional White Gloss.

I need to plug holes. I don't know how to nor own a welder so I am going to glue the patches in. I am planning on useing 3M 560 Polyurethane Adhesive.

I found on the data sheet that before using it on an oil based paint you should do a test. I don't want to open a tube if it's not going to work.

Has anyone used this (or another polyurethane adhesive sealant on Rustoleum?

I just use the Dynatron 550 Seam Sealant from Auto Zone.

For adhesive I'd just get some epoxy and stick down patches over the holes.
For best adhesion I'd ospho, then glue, then prime or paint.

For the OP seam sealer won't work as an adhesive.

For patching large holes using fasteners and a sheet of steel then seam sealer is what you want.

Dang it! I Osphoed, then painted with Rust-Oleum. Now I need to go back and patch and fill holes.

Thoughts on next step? Now I shouldn't use an adhesive to hold the patches in because the adhesive won't stick to the rustolem?

I can figure out a fastener for the big patches (eg sheet metal screws). Then seal with seam sealer.

Will seam sealer stick to Rust-Oleum?

I was planning on using pennies to patch the screw and bolt holes. Will an epoxy work for that.

Darn it! I didn't think my steps through!

Just go look at adhesives at a hardware store and find one that will work on painted surfaces. Glue down something to cover the holes, floor it and forget it.

Sikkaflex will stick. It's an adhesive/sealant. I used it after primer before painting, but it stuck onto the outside of the bus which had been painted where we covered a flasher hole. We haven't put the screws in yet and it's not budging. Read about it here.

I really love the two part epoxy from harbor freight.
That stuff sticks to just about anything (except silicone) and is pretty tough for a buck 99

Edit, don't use it on parts that stay in the sun it gets brittle

Direct sunlight or heating/cooling? I want something that will flex.
