That is going to be an okay power package.
Even if it has the 250 HP rating it is going to be breathing hard doing anything. The 8.3L with the same HP rating would barely break a sweat.
The transmission locks up so it will hold you back on downgrades much better, it will tend to give you better fuel economy, and it will run much cooler on those long hard pulls on hot afternoons.
