I drive past this bus occasionally. It is parked on the side of the highway. One day I remembered to bring my camera. I thought you would like to see this relic. Could not get any interior photos. No one was around to let me inside. It was padlocked.

Here are the photos of the outside. Enjoy. OH! Does anyone know the year of this bus?

Cool old bus! It is a 1956 Chevy ton and a half. It looks like it should have been included in Jane Lidz book (1979) "Rolling Homes".

Great find

Looks mighty similar in style to the "Hillbilly Hilton" below. It was one of the very many, very peculiar (make that BIZARRE) vehicles in last years' ArtCar Parade here in Houston. It is an annual event that has grown from a grass-roots thing to large and even international proportions. Helluva lot of fun too!

That was my guess. It is one VERY stout chassis! I think you could probably build a two-story, brick condo on that thing and it would be fine.
